“N O M A D”

Charlie McGuinness
in Wicklow Harbour, 1947, aged 54, a few months
before his mysterious disappearance/death

Charlie McGuinnes, born 1893, “died” 1947

Dateline: 3rd April 2020

This book, ”Nomad”, is available in audio-only free-of-charge (for now), as a small contribution towards helping people while away these Chinese Virus self-isolation hours.

You will find it nowhere else, in print or otherwise.

Not only is it over eighty years old, but after publication most copies were pulped, apparently because of the book's potential for libel.  However all participants are now long dead.

The author describes himself as an Irish Sailor, Soldier, Pearl-Fisher, Pirate, Gun-runner, Rum-runner, Rebel and Antarctic Explorer

For a more complete picture, others have described him as a mercenary, rogue, escaper, hero, freedom fighter, scoundrel, sailor, smuggler, womanizer, streetfighter, deserter, rescuer, communist, fascist, a dangerous foe and an even more dangerous friend

Just click on the successive chapter names below to go to an MP3 podcast of each particular chapter to listen to or download.

So fascinating and well-written is Charlie McGuinness's story, that if you listen to even one chapter, you will be challenged not to listen to more!

Remember: you will find this book nowhere else in the world.
