PLUMBERS:

	Antonio Sr, the plumber father of Antonio Jr, waiter at Trapezon. To fix hot water distribution system/pressure in June 2011, price was €75 for two hours work plus some small bits and pieces. Gibraltar

If you want to make a trip to Gibraltar, take the “Portillo Avanza” bus from Fuengirola. Price €10 each way; it takes two hours, stopping at Marbella and Estepona. But you MUST BOOK in advance in the Fuengirola Bus Station. Here is the timetable (original here).

Alternatively, take a taxi (1½ hrs) for ca €100 each way.

At La Linea, you have to walk from the bus station for ca five minutes till you cross the border into Gibraltar, showing passport; you can then get a taxi.

Within Gibraltar, you could stay at the Bristol Hotel, 3 stars. It's OK, a bit old-fashioned, but has a pool and is very centrally located. Double room €90 per night incl breakfast, in 2012. But book online or via a travel agent; if you just phone the hotel it will cost more.
